Allergy and contraindications
Hypersensitivity to misoprostol or prostaglandins is a core contraindication. Chronic disease, clotting disorders, and severe anemia must be disclosed.
Concurrent medicines
Provide a complete list including anticoagulants, supplements, and pain medicines. Never alter chronic therapy without guidance.
Gynecologic and surgical history
An IUD, previous uterine surgery, or unexplained pain can change assessment. Suspected ectopic pregnancy needs urgent evaluation and is not treated by misoprostol.
Prepare for consultation
Record symptoms, allergies, medicines, and test results. Ask about expected effects, follow-up, and emergency signs.
